A new glamping site, Mandra Lavandiia, has started operating in the Odessa region. We plan to open 30 more such facilities in Ukraine

The new Mandra Lavandiia glamping facility has started welcoming guests in the village of Protopopivka, located on the shores of the Khadzhibey Estuary, 30 minutes from the centre of Odesa. It is located on a 12-hectare plot in the middle of a lavender field.

The project lasted 3.5 months and cost 271,000 USD. It includes 5 glamps with an area of 36 m2 each. Next year, they plan to add another 5-10 glamps.

In addition to its location surrounded by nature, Mandra Lavandiia impresses with its infrastructure, including 3 baths with panoramic views of the estuary, a swimming pool, pergolas, a yoga area, a children's playground, and rental of sap boards, kayaks and quad bikes.

For guests to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, have dinner, or just relax in the fresh air, each glamping terrace has an umbrella, a table, and two sun loungers. And all this with an incredible view of the lavender field and the estuary.

“Given that the glamping is located on the shores of the Khadzhibey estuary, a new architectural form was used in the project – a shell. And the interior is made in light colours with soft and smooth lines. It is a combination of comfort and elegance created with the help of pastel colours and natural materials,” says Sergey Boyev, managing partner of Mandra Glampings.

The glamping format has been rapidly gaining momentum since the pandemic and is only opening up from new angles for Ukrainian tourists. “We believe that the potential of the glamping format in Ukraine is another 1000+ glamps, which is at least 100 complexes with 10 rooms each,” said Artur Lupashko, founder of Ribas Hotels Group and Mandra Glampings.

Mandra Glampings plans to expand further. The company's share of the Ukrainian glamping market will be 300-500 rooms or 30 properties. Some of them are planned to be built as year-round large complexes with developed infrastructure.

The chain is considering such areas as Kyiv and the region (up to 50 glamps), the Carpathians (100-150 glamps), Volyn, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, and Vinnytsia regions.

The Mandra Glampings chain is looking for partners to implement projects. Franchise cooperation is available. Investments start at $137,000 and payback periods are up to 3 years.
