15 international, national and local businesses have already joined an open memorandum on the resumption and development of entrepreneurship on the Crimean peninsula after its de-occupation. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov during a side-event at the third summit of the Crimean Platform.

The memorandum was signed by such companies as Ribas Hotels Group, Nokia, Fozzy Group, Vodafone, Kyivstar, Genesis, SoftServe Ukraine, Monobank, Sigma Software, SQUAD, Edem, Okko, Lifecell, Dobrobut, CMS Group, Luxoft.

In addition, letters of support were sent by international company Jacobs, one of the largest engineering companies in the United States, Expedia, one of the world leaders in the travel technology market, and EPAM, a leader in information technology.

Ryanair announced its readiness to invest in infrastructure throughout the sovereign territory of Ukraine. As well as Royal HaskoningDHV – one of the world's largest consulting companies in the field of aviation development, construction, energy, transport infrastructure, urbanism, which has offices in more than 30 countries.

“The temporary occupation of the peninsula turned it into a symbol of Russia's imperial, anti-human, terrorist and chauvinist nature. However, today we are talking about a different future for Crimea. With resumption after the temporary occupation, with the development of infrastructure, with the return of investment, tourists, freedom to speak and act. We will create in Crimea the largest technological centre of Eastern Europe. Free economic zones, cancellation of currency regulation, modern digital infrastructure and limitless opportunities for learning and self-development. Together with Ukraine, a decent standard of living will return to Crimea,” Oleksandr Kubrakov commented.

According to Alexandra Azarkhina, despite Russia's virtual destruction of the economy, business and tourism on the peninsula, despite the losses from environmental terrorism, it will be better than it was.

Economic power, large ports and sea routes. Technology parks and R&D centres of the world's leading IT companies. Modern educational infrastructure. A new tourist brand. All these are the components of the restoration of the liberated Crimea. Already today, dozens of leading companies and international organisations are ready to join the restoration of the peninsula. I am confident that together we will restore the Ukrainian Crimea,” Alexandra Azarkhina said.

According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure, our country is supported in the de-occupation of Crimea at different levels: partner governments and international organisations. As well as leading businesses – from Ukraine and around the world, which have already joined the open memorandum on the restoration and development of the peninsula.

In addition, the World Tourism Organisation, the only UN body that cancelled Russia's membership in spring 2022, has joined the video messages in support of the economic and reconstruction of the liberated Crimea. The organisation unites 157 countries. And also the World Travel and Tourism Council – this international organisation represents more than 200 companies with a turnover of more than 600 billion US dollars (30% of the total market). Among the council members are ALL – Accor Live Limitless, Airbnb, Carnival Corporation, Hilton, InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Marriott Hotels, MSC Cruises, Radisson and Uber.
