The number of hotels in Ukraine is growing
Despite the ongoing military challenges last year, Ukraine’s hotel sector demonstrated resilience and growth. One of the key trends in recent years has been the active development of resort real estate in the Carpathians. This segment continues to show strong momentum, particularly among investment projects. At the end of last year, the opening of WOL.GREEN Polyana added another property to Ukraine’s growing hospitality landscape.
The new hotel is located in the village of Polyana, in the Svaliava district of sunny Zakarpattia, within a balneological resort area set amid a picturesque valley, ancient forests, and mountain scenery. The newly developed hotel-style apartment complex WOL.GREEN Polyana features 104 units and was created through a partnership between Ribas Hotels Group and Arena Bud. The project continues the WOL brand concept, which has already proven successful in Odesa with WOL.121, achieving stable occupancy rates ranging from 70% to 93%. This success motivated Ribas Hotels Group to expand the brand nationwide.
In total, WOL.GREEN Polyana offers ten different room categories, ranging from compact one-room smart units to spacious three-room apartments. Each unit is equipped with a fully functional kitchen, essential appliances, and a basic set of kitchenware. All rooms follow a unified design and identical specifications, with most featuring balconies or terraces offering breathtaking mountain views. In addition to the location’s main advantages—healing mountain air, a favorable climate, and crystal-clear mineral springs of Polyana—the hotel boasts a well-developed infrastructure. Guest amenities include the Ukrainian-Georgian cuisine restaurant Gori, a two-level SPA complex with pools and saunas, a fitness center, coworking and yoga areas, outdoor sports facilities, children’s rooms, barbecue and grill zones, and parking with electric vehicle charging stations.
