The Ribas Hotels Group management company and the Come Back Alive charity foundation have launched a a themed “Love Fundraiser” under the slogan “Do You Love It? Donate!” This is a fundraiser for integrated communication systems (ICS) for air defense forces, which reduce the response time from minutes to several seconds of air defense units to a threat from the moment it is detected to the command to destroy the threat.

“Do You Love It? Donate!” is the campaign’s main communication slogan which intends to unite Ukrainians. The greatest expression of love for your hometown or village is your donation that goes into protecting our skies.

The All-Ukrainian “Love Fundraiser” campaign has been launched to bolster air defense through the use of ICS. ICS are specially equipped four-wheel drive trucks developed by the Foundation and the Air Defense Forces to improve the effectiveness of detection, control and target designation between air defense units. In fact, this is a vehicle for operators that receives data from radar stations and transmits it to any type of firepower (missile and anti-aircraft, Soviet, American, or European systems, mobile fire groups).

“With their mobility and fully self-contained power and heat systems ICS are able to support air defense combat units in all circumstances and in all weathers. Integrated communication systems receive data about an air threat and transmit the data back to the air defense units in a matter of seconds. These systems are one of the main vehicles in the air defense battalions, because no mission can be accomplished without communication,” says Oleh Karpenko, Deputy Director of the Come Back Alive charity foundation..

“We have chosen the Come Back Alive charity foundation to work with, because it is one of the most well-known and trusted organizations in Ukraine that has been helping our defenders since 2014. For me, defending Ukraine is, first of all, about military service. But what I am aware of is that each of us has their own role to play in defending our country and its future. We can help in a variety of ways, from donating to the needs of the army and civilians to volunteering and sharing right information. By joining forces, helping each other and in particular financially supporting charities like Come Back Alive each of us can be part of a great cause, to defend our country. There are so many ways to show your love for Ukraine, but one of the most important right now is to support our country's defense forces. Every donation is a step toward victory. Our financial support for projects aimed at improving the country's defense capabilities, such as procurement for air defense, helps our defenders be more effective and save lives. Love it? Donate!” notes Artur Lupashko, CEO of Ribas Hotels Group.

As part of the “Do You Love It? Donate!” campaign, visitors to the Ribas hotels will be able to make a donation via Monobank by leaving “war” tips in restaurants or donating directly on the website. The campaign will be supported by various social media activities, charity gastronomic dinners in partnership with the Association of Culinary Specialists of Ukraine and the Restetika restaurant company headed by Andriy Magaletskyi, and other partners.

The project was joined by well-known Ukrainian travel photographers and videographers such as Valeria Mikulska, Nikita Marchenko and Natalia Vyshnova, whose work can be found on social media, digital platforms and offline.

About ICS

With the “Do You Love It? Donate!” fundraising campaign, we are raising money for integrated communication systems (ICS) for air defense troops. ICS are the “nerves” of the air defense system; these are specially equipped four-wheel drive trucks that are tasked with coordinating work and ensuring uninterrupted communication between air defense units. Each ICS is a comfortable place for the defenders of the Ukrainian skies to work and have a rest. The vehicles are fitted with equipment required to support Western air defense missile systems. Each ICS vehicle is equipped with secure communication systems, computers with special software, video display units, cables, routers and switches.
